The Silverado book says it was filled with "Dexos" but the LGH and LML Duramax Diesel supplement book says to use API CJ-4 oil. There are no stickers under the hood near the dipstick/oil fill to indicate either.I have a knocking noise upon deceleration on my 2017 duramax Silverado.. It happens between 1600-1100 rpm. As I decelerate between this range, it will start to knock at around 1600 then go away at around 1500 then start again around 1400 and stop at around 1200 and a third time at 1100. It only seems to happen between 1,000 and 1500 rpm. My 16 LML made a similar noise sometimes, but this L5P seems to do it more. It's not the typewriter tick, that's for sure.
