You can still open up a eps file in illustrator or other vector editor and manipulate it same as you would an ai file. Some printers who use older equipment or vinyl plotter/cutters prefer eps to ai or pdf.Yes, I know you can import into Word but our users want to simply double click an *.eps file and be able to see it.
